The Euroscience Foundation is involved in science communication and is looking for European partners in this field to strengthen its international activities.
It focuses its activities on the promotion of international workshops to bring together young scientists and enhance a mutual dialogue. The interaction between different disciplines, and also between science and the public is not established as solidly as it should be in our knowledge-based society. The highly specialized communities become smaller and smaller while the communicational framework becomes larger and larger. At least we have to overcome the often complained about asymmetry between highly qualified experts and non-experts who need information.
With the European Science Writers Award the Euroscience Foundation honours science journalists who succeeded in overcoming this asymmetry in an extraordinary manner. The award acknowledges their achievements as editors and writers and in linking up science and society. There will be two European Science Writers Awards: the Senior Award as well as the Junior Award. Nominations for future laureates are always welcome. Should you be interested in strengthening the Euroscience Foundation beyond cooperating with it, we will of course be glad about your private donation.
Please, do not hesitate to contact us for any further information you may require.
